Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical Screener to support our Sales team in evaluating candidates for technical roles. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assess candidate qualifications across various IT and engineering domains. You will play a key role in ensuring the right talent is submitted to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial technical screening interviews with candidates via phone or video to assess skills, experience, and communication.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications against job requirements, particularly in software development, cloud, data engineering, cybersecurity, and infrastructure domains.
  • Use standardized evaluation templates or customized screening questions based on client requirements.
  • Provide detailed screening feedback to recruiters and account managers to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and timely notes in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Stay up to date with evolving technology stacks, client expectations, and market trends.
  • Coordinate with recruiters and technical panels for secondary assessments, when needed.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through clear communication and professionalism.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in IT or engineering roles OR 1+ year of technical screening/recruitment experience.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts including programming languages, software development life cycles, cloud platforms, and networking basics.
  • Familiarity with sourcing platforms and ATS systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced staffing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in an IT staffing or consulting company.
  • Certifications in technical areas (e.g., AWS, Azure, Scrum) or technical recruiting.
  • Experience working with clients in finance, healthcare, or tech sectors.

Success Metrics:

  • Number of qualified candidates screened and submitted.
  • Feedback ratings from recruiters and clients.
  • Turnaround time per screening.
  • Accuracy of technical assessments.
