Job Description


The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to spearhead our engagement and build strategic alliances with leading OTT platforms in the Indian market. This is a pivotal role that will drive the growth and distribution of our content, forging strong relationships and securing mutually beneficial agreements. If you possess an understanding of the Indian OTT landscape, good communication skills, client servicing abilities and negotiating skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on establishing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers at leading OTT platforms in India.
  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison between Northstar Entertainment and assigned OTT partners.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for content licensing, co-productions, and other strategic collaborations with OTT platforms.
  • Present and pitch our slate of projects (films, series, and other formats) effectively to OTT partners, highlighting their market potential and alignment with platform needs.
  • Negotiate and finalize content licensing agreements, co-production deals, and other business terms, ensuring favorable outcomes for the production house.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each OTT platform's content strategy, acquisition process, and key priorities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the Indian OTT ecosystem.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (Content Development, Production, Legal, Finance) to ensure seamless execution of deals and delivery of content.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline, and deal progress for senior management.
  • Represent Northstar Entertainment at industry events and conferences to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Achieve and exceed targets for content placement and revenue generation through OTT partnerships.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10 12 years in client servicing in an established advertising agency. (OR)
  • 10 12 years in media and entertainment with proven experience in content sales and marketing.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Familiarity with legal and contractual aspects of content licensing and co-production agreements will be an added advantage.
