Job Description
Application Security Engineer
Location - Ahmedabad - Mumbai - Chennai
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct code reviews, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security features, policies, and protocols to protect applications.
- Work closely with development teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and communicate security concerns effectively.
- Lead the remediation of application vulnerability and penetration testing
- Assist the Information Security Manager with all application security tasks
- Monitor applications for security incidents, respond to threats, and implement remediation measures.
- Establish and maintain security standards and best practices within the organization.
- Assisting in the development of automated security testing to ensure the organization is following best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills & Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in application security domain.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages used in application development (Eg. Java, C++, & Python etc.)
- Knowledge of secure coding practices
- Understanding of web application architecture
- Experience with application and database security.
- Proficiency with security tools like DAST/SAST scanners and technologies, and hardening of applications.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Hands-on role with a focus on app security, cloud security, and other cryptographic techniques
Education
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or Cybersecurity
- Experience in information security or a similar subject
