Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and audits of rotating equipment during
incoming, in-process, and post-maintenance stages.
- Review and verify compliance with engineering standards, OEM
specifications, and international standards (API, ISO, ASME).
- Inspect and validate installation, alignment, and functional testing of
rotating equipment.
- Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), SAT (Site Acceptance
Test), and performance testing of rotating assets.
- Monitor and review repair activities at internal or external workshops
for critical rotating equipment.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and third-party
vendors to resolve quality-related issues.
- Review and approve equipment repair reports, test certificates, and
material traceability documents.
- Support failure investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue
NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.
- Maintain accurate QC documentation, records, and reports in CMMS and
document control systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reliability, QA/QC
procedures, and vendor quality management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
- 58 years of experience in QA/QC or inspection roles for rotating
equipment in petrochemical, refining, or oil & gas industries.
- In-depth knowledge of rotating equipment standards (API 610, 617,
618, 671, 682).
- Familiarity with quality control tools and inspection techniques such as
runout, balancing, clearance checks, and vibration acceptance criteria.
- Experience with CMMS (e.g., SAP), QA/QC systems, and documentation
control.
