JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Initiate dialysis as per unit protocol, administer anticoagulant 2. Instructs patients about the care of vascular access and other open wounds 3. Measure and adjust blood flow rates according to protocols and prescriptions. 4. Calculate and adjust fluid removal rates according to prescription. 5. Monitor patients for adverse reactions and hemodialysis equipment for malfunctions. 6. Respond to alarms, readjusts treatment parameters, administers saline according to patient status and doctors prescription 7. Response appropriately to dialysis-related emergencies such as hypertensive episodes, needle displacement or infiltration, clotting episodes, blood leaks, air emboli, etc. initiates cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the event of a cardiac arrest. 8. Terminate the dialysis as per unit protocol, Reprocess dialyzer after termination. 9. Clean and disinfect dialysis machines and equipment according to unit protocol. 10 Discard used dialysis supplies. 11. Communicate emotional, medical, psychosocial, and nutritional concerns to the doctor. 12. Complete all flow sheets and billing details for appropriate billing. 13.
