Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities
(A) Operational
- Responsible for total patient care, including medication, orders and treatments.
- Administer first-aid treatment and life-support care to critical ill patients.
- Assess nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures.
- Observe, record, and report to physician the patient's condition or injury, the treatment provided, and reactions to drugs and treatment.
- Perform emergency diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as suction, airway management and heart monitoring etc
- Able to perform the techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively.
Administer drugs, orally or by injection, and perform intravenous procedures under Physicians direction.
- Coordinate work with other emergency medical team members when required.
- Coordinate with treatment center personnel to obtain patients' vital statistics and medical history, to determine the circumstances of the emergency, and to administer emergency treatment.
- To plan & organize the instruments and consumables required for various surgeries.
- To maintain strict aseptic technique during the surgical procedures.
- To ensure all the registers are maintained in the ward.
- To handle all the medical emergencies confidently.
- To participate all the unit and in-service education.
- To participate in Hospital Quality Improvement Activities.
