Work from home, UK client, Full Time, Support Engineer position
This role is for a substantial, fast-growing, and well-respected UK Advertising Firm who have hired us to exclusively recruit for them. It is a permanent Work From Home position and every day youll be working directly as part of their UK team. It is a senior role with real opportunities to learn and develop.

The business we are representing is a unique self-service SaaS platform empowering global brands to generate contextual advertising campaigns, quickly and efficiently using their existing content. - Has run campaigns for over 100 of the worlds largest brands across global premium media owners including CNBC, CNN, Reuters, The Economist, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Forbes, The Guardian and many more.
They are looking to make a full-time hire for a long-term position.
Location: Remote Work from Home in India
Minimum Experience: 5+ years
Shift Timings: 12 pm - 9:30 pm (Summer), 1 pm - 10:30 pm (Winter)
Roles and responsibilities
- Problem analysis and resolution skills. the role of the support engineer is to assist our internal and external customers with technical issues related to software and cloud by troubleshooting problems, providing solutions, and ensuring smooth operation of systems, essentially acting as a bridge between the customer and the technical team to resolve any difficulties they might encounter while using our SaaS advertising product.
- Communication - keeping issues in our ticketing system updated so a remote team can see progress over time, managing priorities and reaching out for guidance when conflicts occur, liaising with engineers who have domain expertise to determine whether to escalate to them or get support in addressing an issue.
- Quality through accuracy, testing and peer review.
Essential skills and experience
- Devops experience - 2+ years
- SQL- 2+ years
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting Skills
- Hands on coding (Java preffer 1 Year Basic level)
Desired skills and experience
- Java certified
- Experience of working with more than three of the following: XML/XSL, JSON, Gradle, NGINX, Jetty, Jenkins and Javascript
- University degree educated in the field of Computer Science/Engineering or relevant experience
- Java, with recent hands on engineering experience and confidence to solve diverse, domain specific problems in this language
- Proven experience using three or more of the following technologies: Python, Groovy, Git, MySQL, Linux/Unix, Amazon AWS, JUnit, Mockito, JMeter, Gradle
- Good understanding of the HTTP protocol
- Work related Test Driven Development experience
