Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (10-12 years) with deep expertise in AWS infrastructure, DataOps, and hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift and Databricks.
The ideal candidate will architect, automate, and optimize cloud-native data platforms, ensuring robust CI/CD, security, and operational excellence across AWS and Databricks environments.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Data Platform Engineering
o Architect, deploy, and manage AWS data services including Glue, RDS, S3, EKS, and serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions).
o Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for consistent, repeatable deployments using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
o Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for data applications and infrastructure, integrating with Azure Devops Pipeline
o Automate database changes, versioning, and testing as part of the deployment lifecycle, leveraging secure secrets management and rollback strategies
Containerization & Orchestration
o Design and manage Docker/Kubernetes (EKS) environments for scalable data workloads, including Redshift integration and Databricks compute orchestration
Monitoring, Logging & Optimization
o Implement comprehensive monitoring and logging for AWS and Databricks data services using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
o Proactively optimize performance, cost, and reliability across all data platforms.
Collaboration & Leadership
o Work closely with data engineers, scientists, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of data solutions.
o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Preferred candidate profile
- 0-12 years in AWS Infra, DevOps, and DataOps roles.
- Deep hands-on expertise with: o AWS Data Services: Glue, RDS, S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier, Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, Airflow
- CI/CD: Building automated pipelines for AWS and using Azure DevOps
- IaC: Terraform, AWS CDK.
- Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS).
- Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell.
- Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
- Experience with DataOps best practices, including modular code, testing, and version control (Git)
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
