Development Architect - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ SAP India

The Role
This is a Lead Architect role for SAP Conversational AI. The potential candidate would work closely with the strong team of architects across the globe (US, Germany, France, and India). The person would be working for the growth of SAP CAI in collaboration with other development architects for finding innovative, sustainable, and high performing technical solutions to the underlying business problems. The person will be the go to person for all queries related to CAI architecture and represent CAI technical aspects on all forum internal or external.

use modern methods to secure an excellent quality in development and maintenance of our software, which meets highest Cloud standards.
work closely together with colleagues inside and outside of your team.
develop and mentor architects within CAI to develop exceptional talent.

Being our colleague, you will?
design robust, scalable and understandable software, focusing on openness for extensibility and ease of integration.
create and review architectural designs, TAM, and guidelines, and support the product team and development teams in ensuring standards compliance
do research and prototyping. Continuously keep an eye on tech trends, emerging technologies and frameworks
be the technical domain expert to guide technology strategy, being part of a virtual team of architects across different locations.
identify and suggest learning opportunities, proactively and continuously share knowledge with peers and team architects, organization and community
engage in Working Groups and Steering boards for CAI.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Required skills
Good bachelor or master?s degree in computer science, information systems, business informatics, mathematics, engineering, physics or related field.
Very good programming skills in Java, Python, and/or RubyOnRails.
Very good programming skills of an Database systems, e.g. SAP HANA, PostgreSQL or similar.
Good programming knowledge of an additional (script - ) language, e.g. JavaScript or similar.
Experience in Artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms.
Expert - level understanding of microservice architecture. Recognizing and ing software design patterns for a given problem.
In - depth knowledge of RESTful architecture
Experience with TAM or UML modelling (reading and creating diagrams like sequence diagram, component diagram, etc.)
Ability to convert business requirements into a technical concept.
Good knowledge of SAP technology, architecture and product standards.
Good analytic skills.
Good communication skills in English (verbal and written). Preferred skills
Experience with Cloud technology (CloudFoundry, Kubernetes).
Experience with hyperscalers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Experience with Conversational Technology, Chatbots, etc.
Experience with distributed programming and deployment automation (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Nexus)

Work Experience
At least 10 years of work experience in software development.
Experience in working with diverse, multi - cultural teams.
Experience in remote collaboration with distributed teams.
