Job Description
Job Title: Business Development Manager
Location: Coimbatore
Reports To: Managing Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sourcing and Vendor Development
Manager with expertise in the Wiring Harness Industry. The ideal candidate must possess a
strong background in electrical/electronic component manufacturing, along with skills in cost
optimization, sourcing, and customer engagement. This role demands a strategic approach
to expanding business opportunities, ensuring competitive pricing, and delivering cost
savings while leading a team efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse electrical and electronics drawings to create accurate Bill of Materials
(BOM).
Ensure cost-effective selection of materials without compromising on quality and
compliance.
Develop detailed cost estimation and pricing strategies to improve profitability.
Identify and establish strong supplier networks for electrical/electronic components
at both domestic and international levels.
Evaluate and select reliable vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Ensure strong sourcing capabilities to meet production and delivery timelines.
Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best pricing and terms.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education: BE in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) / Electronics &
Communication Engineering (ECE).
Experience: Minimum 5 years in electrical/electronic component manufacturing
industry.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical/electronics drawings.
o Strong knowledge of electrical/electronics components sourcing.
o Experience in creating Bill of Materials (BOM).
Negotiation & Cost Management:
o Proven track record in price negotiation and cost-saving strategies.
Supplier & Market Knowledge: Good knowledge of domestic & international
supplier markets for electrical/electronic components.
Languages: Proficiency in English, Hindi & Tamil (both written and verbal).
Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of MS Office, SAP systems, and business
development tools.
Leadership: Ability to handle and mentor a team of 10+ members effectively.
Target-Oriented: Capable of working in a KPI-driven environment with a focus on
achieving targets.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
Experience in the wiring harness industry is highly desirable.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Willingness to travel for business meetings, supplier visits, and customer
engagements.
