Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of datacenter operations, including infrastructure management, resource planning, and capacity optimization.
Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of datacenter systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and support organizational growth.
Ensure datacenter compliance with industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate datacenter solutions with core business processes and Oil & Gas operations.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee the procurement of datacenter hardware and software.
Provide leadership and mentorship to technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
Prepare and present regular reports on datacenter performance, budget utilization, and strategic initiatives.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in datacenter management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong expertise in datacenter infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
Solid understanding of Oil & Gas industry-specific data requirements and workflows.
Proven track record in managing large-scale IT projects and budgets.
Familiarity with energy-efficient datacenter design and operations aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals.
Experience with implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans for critical infrastructure.
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as edge computing, AI, and IoT integration for datacenters.
Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Center Professional), ITIL, or PMP (Project Management Professional).
