Job Description
Role Summary:
The person would be primarily responsible to act as the Product SME for end-to-end system set up of new / existing products / schemes on the policy admin system and integration with digital partner platforms
Key Focus areas:
Product Management:
- Responsible for creation / updation of Functional Specification Document (FSD) for assigned new products / product modifications in compliance to F&U, other regulatory documents, underwriting rules, and business requirement to ensure that this document is readily consumable by technology and other cross functional teams for all system development requirements.
- Responsible for creation of product rollout/ system readiness checklist basis the Drop 1(MVP) and post Drop 1(non-MVP) categorization.
- Responsible for creating User stories, testing scenarios and acceptance criteria in compliance to product F&U
- Responsible for review and signoff on the calculators and premium rates shared by the Pricing team and providing walkthrough and in depth understanding of the same to eBao and HM development teams.
- Responsible for conducting regular product meetings with eBao / HM development teams to ensure all product features are well understood and E2E product build including the customer onboarding journeys are developed / managed as per the product life cycle and in compliance to regulatory requirement.
- Responsible for reviewing of testing artefacts and providing product signoff to ensure product functionalities developed across platforms are in compliance to regulatory requirements
Management of Day 2 functionalities
- Responsible for tracking end-to-end life cycle development of products setup in ebao / HM
- Responsible for co-ordinating across the teams and keeping the Product Day 2 automation tracker updated. Also responsible for publishing this fortnightly to all stakeholders and coordinating with ORM team for quarterly KRI tracker update
- Responsible for ensuring all product Day 2 functionalities are automated / manual SOP documented at-least 60 days before effective date of the functionality in production.
Platform Build Management:
- Responsible for closely working with internal team members, peers, TPO and developers for translating the business requirements to technical requirements
- Responsible for creation of eBao release notes and publishing the same as and when required.
- Responsible for development of product functionalities in eBao as per product life cycle requirements and program level prioritization
Regulatory Compliance:
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of new / existing products/ schemes in HM / eBao.
- Responsible for adherence to all regulatory requirements pertaining to new product setup including reporting to ensure Zero Noncompliance
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum Graduates with 3-5 years of experience as Product Manager for end to end system setup of life insurance products (Group/retail).
- Experience in Agile Methodologies and managing product integrations on partner platforms will be an additional advantage
- Analytical bend of mind coupled with focus on details
- Working knowledge of LI Products & Regulations
- Understanding of LI product digital onboarding journeys
- Outstanding capacity to handle multiple projects that adhere to stringent timelines
- Highly ambitious and result oriented with non-compromising work ethics
- Excellent inter-personal skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience in working with senior leadership
