Job Title: Placement Officer Engineering Campus
Location: KL University, Hyderabad
Department: Training & Placement Cell
Reporting To: Head Training & Placement / Dean Career Services
Job Summary:
The Placement Officer is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all activities related to student placements and internships for engineering students. The role involves building strong industry connections, preparing students for placement drives, and ensuring successful job outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives and facilitate the entire placement process.
- Develop and maintain relationships with top-tier companies across industries, particularly in engineering and technology domains.
- Organize employability training, mock interviews, and resume workshops.
- Maintain placement records, analyze placement trends, and generate reports for management.
- Ensure students meet industry expectations through timely pre-placement training sessions (Aptitude, Technical, Soft Skills).
- Communicate effectively with academic departments and deans to align placement strategy with student skill development.
- Handle logistics for placement events, including pre-placement talks (PPT), online/offline test facilitation, interview rooms, etc.
- Guide students in internship opportunities, project placements, and higher education/career counseling.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Management, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in placements, recruitment, HR, or academia (engineering institutions preferred).
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and placement management tools.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of current engineering job market trends.
- Relationships with IT/tech companies, core engineering firms, and startups.
- Exposure to ERP/ATS systems for placement tracking.
