Jr. AWS Cloud Engineer @ Systems Plus Solutions

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AWS Cloud Engineer to join our growing technology team. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with 2-3 years of experience who are eager to expand their cloud infrastructure skills and support cloud-based solutions across development and production environments. Strong foundational knowledge of AWS services and hands-on experience with Python scripting are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the deployment, configuration, and management of AWS infrastructure.

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline cloud operations.

Monitor system health, usage, and performance metrics using AWS CloudWatch and other tools.

Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code using CloudFormation or Terraform.

Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines.

Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application issues.

Maintain cloud security best practices, including IAM roles and policies.

Document procedures and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, VPC).
• Experience writing and maintaining Python scripts for automation or tooling.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., DNS, firewalls, load balancers).
• Basic experience with source control tools like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Associate-level certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, SysOps).
• Exposure to Docker or container orchestration (ECS, EKS).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices
