Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL, data migration, performance tuning, ETL processes, and database security. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient data storage, retrieval, and integration across applications while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable database solutions.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, stored procedures, and query tuning.
- Manage data migration from legacy systems to modern databases.
- Develop ETL processes and integrate data across multiple sources.
- Implement security best practices for database access, backup, and recovery.
- Work with cloud database services like AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud Spanner.
- Automate database tasks using scripting languages like Python, Shell, and PowerShell.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for database versioning and deployment.
Required Skills:
- Database Management: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Performance Optimization: Indexing, stored procedures, triggers
- Data Migration & Integration: ETL, data warehousing, data transformation
- Database Security: Backup, recovery, and access control
- NoSQL Databases: MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB (optional)
- Cloud Databases: AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud Spanner
- Scripting & Automation: Python, Shell, PowerShell
- ORM Frameworks: Sequelize, Hibernate, Entity Framework
- CI/CD & DevOps: Database versioning, automation, and deployment
Good to Have:
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark
- Knowledge of GraphQL and REST API integrations
- Familiarity with database clustering, replication, and sharding
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or SQL databases
