- Job Description: Hardware & Networking Engineer (Ghana) Company: Lambodra Group Location: Ghana, Accra Position: Hardware & Networking Engineer Job Summary: Lambodra Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hardware & Networking Engineer to join our team in Ghana. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware, networking equipment, and related systems. Responsibilities: Hardware Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware issues promptly to minimize downtime. Perform regular hardware maintenance and upgrades. Manage and maintain inventory of hardware equipment. Network Management: Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Implement and maintain network security measures. Manage and configure VPNs and other remote access solutions. Configure and manage LAN/WAN environments. Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.). Manage server backups and disaster recovery procedures. Monitor server performance and ensure optimal uptime. Manage active directory and user accounts. Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, both on-site and remotely. Document technical issues and resolutions. Train users on hardware and software usage. Maintain a help desk system for tracking and resolving support requests. Project Management: Assist in the planning and implementation of IT projects. Manage project timelines and budgets. Coordinate with vendors and contractors. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for hardware, network configurations, and procedures. Create and maintain network diagrams. Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines related to hardware installation and maintenance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience (minimum [Number] years) as a Hardware & Networking Engineer. Strong knowledge of hardware components and troubleshooting techniques. Extensive experience with network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.). Experience with network security devices and practices. Proficiency in server administration (Windows Server, Linux). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSE) are highly desirable.
