- Job Opening: Rust Backend Engineer Trading Systems Location: Remote / India (Preferred) Type: Part-time Experience: 37 Years Domain: Fintech | Crypto | Real-Time Systems About the Role Were on a mission to build a high-performance live trading platform, and were looking for a Rust Backend Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, real-time environments. If you're passionate about building robust, low-latency systems and working at the intersection of finance and technology, this role is for you. Youll be part of a team shaping the future of trading by developing lightning-fast backend services, integrating with top exchanges, and helping execute data-driven strategies at scale. What Youll Do Design and implement backend services in Rust for trading execution and market data ingestion Integrate with major REST & WebSocket APIs (e.g., Binance, Alpaca, IBKR) Build event-driven data pipelines and implement failover systems Manage time-series data with fast embedded databases Collaborate with frontend teams to expose streaming APIs and build seamless user experiences What Were Looking For 3+ years of backend development experience (including 12+ years in Rust) Strong knowledge of Tokio, Serde, and async programming Experience with WebSocket, REST APIs, or FIX protocols Understanding of financial trading workflows or a passion to learn Clean, modular, and performance-optimized coding style Bonus Points Experience in low-latency systems or high-frequency trading (HFT) Familiarity with sled, PostgreSQL, or event-driven architectures Contributions to open-source Rust projects Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge real-time trading tech Collaborate with a world-class, mission-driven team Flexible part-time schedule with meaningful impact,
