SQL Engineer - Database Design @ Harshvani Global

Job Description

Exp : 5+ Years. Notice Period : 4 Days. Domain : Finance. Primary Skills : SQL Server experience (DDL, DML, stored procedures, indexes). Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams. Experience with cloud databases and reporting platforms. Basic knowledge of financial valuations and calculations (MV, MTM, PnL) is a plus. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement complex SQL Server databases, including: DDL (Data Definition Language) for creating and modifying database objects (tables, views, indexes) DML (Data Manipulation Language) for inserting, updating, and deleting data Stored procedures for automating complex database tasks and improving performance Indexes for optimizing data retrieval and query performance Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth data flow across systems. Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and reports to support financial analysis and decision-making. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and data integrity problems. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in SQL Server technologies and industry best practices. Experience with cloud databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a strong plus. Experience with reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a strong plus. Basic knowledge of financial valuations and calculations (Market Value (MV), Mark-to-Market (MTM), Profit & Loss (PnL)) is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience with SQL Server databases. Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
