Job Description

This role ensures adherence to financial policies and supports the organization in achieving its financial and operational goals. The position involves close coordination with program teams, donors, and partner organizations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with donor requirements.


Qualification: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting. Masters degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in handling FCRA Grants and CSR Grants, including compliance, reporting, and audits.

Location: Delhi

Term: Fixed term contract


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop budgets and narratives for grant proposals with finance and program teams.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, including FCRA and GST requirements.
  • Align financial proposals with donor guidelines and organizational goals.
  • Monitor grant spending and provide analysis through tracking and projections.
  • Prepare and submit accurate donor financial reports on time.
  • Ensure compliance with donor guidelines and maintain records of agreements, budgets, and reports.
  • Collaborate with program teams for compliant fund utilization.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure financial integrity and efficiency.
  • Identify risks, review expenditures, and provide variance analysis.
  • Recommend improvements for financial practices.
  • Coordinate statutory, internal, and external audits, addressing queries promptly.
  • Manage cash flow, forecasting, and statutory return submissions.

Desired Skill Sets:

  • Strong understanding of donor compliance requirements and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, plus discretion with sensitive information and ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to transform and communicate complex data for varied audiences;
  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, or other ERP systems), with a preference for candidates experienced in using Zoho applications.
