Job Description:
Seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Senior MSBI Developer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in the Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) stack. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database design, ETL processes, data warehousing, reporting, and analytics. This role is suited for someone who has been part of large-scale BI initiatives and has demonstrated strong functional knowledge in their domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust SQL Server databases, including schema creation, tables, views, and complex stored procedures.
- Build, deploy, and manage SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
- Design and maintain SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) cubes and tabular models to support analytical reporting and data warehousing needs.
- Develop and manage SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) reports for various business functions.
- Create dynamic and interactive dashboards using Power BI, integrating data from multiple sources to drive business decisions.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide performance tuning and optimization for databases and BI processes.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the overall improvement of BI practices within the team.
- Maintain documentation and ensure best practices are followed throughout the BI development lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in MSBI technologies: MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
- Strong experience in Power BI dashboard/report development and data modeling.
- Expertise in writing optimized T-SQL code, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Proven track record in designing and maintaining complex data warehouses.
- Deep functional knowledge and domain experience, with 8+ years in the current/most recent project.
- Ability to work independently and handle end-to-end BI solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Azure Data Services or cloud-based BI platforms.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
- Background in specific business domains (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
