Job Description The Opportunity: Primary Responsibilities: Collaborate with business units and technical staff to understand business requirements for use in designing appropriate solutions Evaluate options and provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to implement final requirements Analyze, document and design solutions for system enhancements Implementing minor system enhancements and Testing Ensure on schedule delivery of a high-quality product that meets business and technical requirements Participate in design and code review sessions as appropriate to ensure the quality of work delivered by teammates is in accordance with development standards. Work closely with project team members (other Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Product Managers, etc.), and coordinate and interface with other groups (e.g. Network, QA, Operations, Engineering, etc.) This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including Mainframe COBOL, C/C++. Excellent problem analysis skills and ability to propose multiple solutions for a problem and choose the most apt solution. Must be able to understand high level design, translate it into code level technical design and build documentation for the developed code. Must have curiosity and creativity, to want to understand customer requirements and our processes and urge to come up with creative solutions. Strong communications skills, specifically, the absence of repeated grammatical or typographical errors, clear and concise written and spoken communications that demonstrate professionalism. Solid understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies. Document process, designs, test results, and analysis. Lead root cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion. Review and provide feedback on development code, test designs and test cases. Highly driven, resourceful and results oriented. Good team player with willingness to listen and learn from colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Ability to learn from mistakes and apply lessons to future challenges.
