- Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-time Experience Level: Expert (10+ years) Working days/hours: 5 days, 2pm - 11pm IST Job Summary: Our client is looking for an experienced Data Architect / Data Modeling Expert to join their offshore team in India. The ideal candidate will work closely with Business Analysts and Technical Analysts to collect data requirements, create source-to-target mapping documents, and design efficient data models in Snowflake. The role requires a solid understanding of data modeling principles and some exposure to ETL tools. Familiarity with Matillion is a plus. This person should have had past experience architect Databases, modeling and should have worked on Data modeling leading to AI solutions. Key Responsibilities: Data Modeling: Design and implement normalized and denormalized data models in Snowflake based on business and technical requirements. Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with Business Analysts/Technical Analysts to understand data needs and ensure proper documentation of requirements. Data Mapping: Develop source-to-target mapping documents to facilitate accurate data transformations. Data Engineering: Work on data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using SQL and cloud-based tools. Performance Optimization: Optimize Snowflake queries, schema designs, and indexing for better performance. Collaboration & Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of data models, mappings, and data flow processes. Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10 years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Engineering, or related roles Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (OLTP, OLAP, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema) Hands-on experience in Snowflake (schema design, query optimization) Ability to create source-to-target mapping documents Experience with SQL-based data transformations and queries Exposure to ETL tools (Matillion is a plus but not mandatory) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in cloud-based data environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Hands-on exposure to Matillion or other ETL tools Understanding of data governance and security best practices Familiarity with Agile methodologies,
