We are seeking an experienced Blending & Quality Chemist for our liquor manufacturing facility in Harmuti, Arunachal Pradesh. The role requires in-depth knowledge of blending both IMFL and wine, maintaining product quality, operating DM plants, and ensuring complete Excise and regulatory compliance.
Blending Operations:
Perform accurate blending of Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA), flavors, water, and additives for IMFL.
Execute controlled blending and stabilization of fruit wines or grape wines, maintaining balance, taste, aroma, and clarity.
Maintain consistency in flavor profiles and alcohol content across batches.
Follow standardized recipes and support new blend development.
Bottling & Packaging Quality:
Supervise bottling lines and ensure quality control at every stagefilling, sealing, labeling, and secondary packaging.
Inspect and approve packaging materials (bottles, closures, labels, cartons, etc.) as per standards.
Ensure hygiene and sanitation across bottling areas.
DM Plant & Water Quality:
Operate and maintain the Demineralized (DM) water plant.
Monitor DM water quality parameters suitable for blending and bottling.
Excise Compliance & Instrumentation:
Operate and maintain flow meters, ensuring accuracy and data logging for Excise tracking.
Maintain track & trace documentation as per Excise and regulatory requirements.
Ensure all quality and blending records are up-to-date and ready for inspection.
Quality Control & Lab Management:
Conduct chemical and sensory analysis of raw materials, blends, and finished products.
Ensure compliance with BIS, FSSAI, and Excise quality standards.
Proven expertise in IMFL and wine blending techniques.
Hands-on experience with DM water systems and water chemistry.
Knowledge of Excise rules, traceability, and flow meter handling.
Strong analytical skills in product testing and quality assurance.
Good communication and documentation skills.
B.Tech in Food Technology or M.Sc. in Chemistry / Food Science / Biotech.
Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a liquor manufacturing unit (IMFL & wine).
Familiarity with Assam and Arunachal Pradesh Excise regulations.
