Job Description
Position: Lead Software Engineer, SRE, DropShip
The Lead Software Engineer Drop Ship, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a highly skilled individual who can drive innovation, enhance system reliability, and optimize processes within our Order Management System (OMS) and Dropship functional areas. This role demands strong techno functional leadership, deep expertise in OMS and supply chain systems, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and scalable order fulfillment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the observability and reliability initiatives across Dropship and OMS, designing proactive monitoring and alerting solutions to detect and resolve failures before impacting end users.
- Spearhead the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Drive incident management and go-live stabilization, identifying root causes and implementing solutions to reduce system disruptions.
- Define and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Dropship and Perishable vendors, ensuring seamless execution during peak order volumes.
- Collaborate with Finance, Internal Audit, and Engineering teams to optimize billing processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Establish and refine Dropship backlog management strategies, setting priorities and coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive enhancements and issue resolutions.
- Partner with vendors, third-party logistics providers, and Freight Forwarders to resolve order fulfillment challenges and enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Leverage data-driven insights from funnel reports, finance reports, and monitoring tools to optimize inventory allocation and order processing.
- Lead the offshore/on-site team structure and continuously optimize operational workflows, enabling efficiency and scalability.
- Identify and execute process automation opportunities to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual dependencies.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ year of overall experience as technologist with bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or management (MBA) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience as functional or techno functional SME in Ecommerce Dropship or OMS space.
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Order Management Systems (OMS), or Dropship operations.
- Expertise in observability tools, log monitoring, and system alerting solutions.
- Strong experience with Dropship, Supply Chain Microservices, and WMS/OMS platforms.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and proactively implement preventive solutions.
- Experience in managing cross-functional stakeholder collaboration, including Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven decision-making approach.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools, scripting languages, and cloud-based solutions.
- Hands on experience in DB queries , SQL, No-SQL to generate business and operational reports .
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in high-volume environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and guiding engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Dropship operational workflows and vendor integration strategies.
- Background in financial auditing support and compliance related to order fulfillment and billing.
- Prior experience in optimizing and scaling large-scale e-commerce systems.
