Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project manager to oversee and optimize the operational framework of our academic programs, faculty management, and academic team coordination. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in managing complex educational operations, fostering collaboration across teams, and driving efficiency in university-level academic environments. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless delivery of academic services, enhance operational efficiency, and support the institutions mission of academic excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to align with institutional goals for academic delivery, faculty engagement, and student success.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, improve resource allocation, and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and recommend improvements.

2. Academic Operations Management

  • Oversee scheduling, logistics, and resource planning for university classes, ensuring optimal utilization of facilities and staff.
  • Coordinate with academic departments to support curriculum implementation, exam scheduling, and accreditation processes.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and service providers to support academic operations.

3. Faculty & Academic Team Management

  • Lead faculty recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation processes in collaboration with department heads.
  • Foster a collaborative environment for academic teams, promoting professional development and mentorship programs.
  • Address faculty concerns, workload distribution, and conflict resolution to maintain a productive academic workforce.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a liaison between academic teams, administrative departments, and student services to ensure cohesive operations.

5. Budget & Resource Management

  • Oversee budgeting for academic operations, including faculty contracts, classroom resources, and technology investments.
  • Ensure cost-effective allocation of resources while maintaining high standards of academic delivery.

6. Technology & Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of technology solutions (e.g., Project management tools such as Jira/Asana) to enhance operational efficiency and academic outcomes.
  • Promote innovative practices in curriculum delivery and faculty-student engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Engineer
  • Experience: 5+ years in operations management, preferably in higher education or academic administration.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and change management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of academic processes, faculty governance, and accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and data-driven decision-making.
  • Financial acumen and budget management expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP), Lean Six Sigma, or Higher Education Administration.
