Systems Engineer and Administrator @ Liftup Consultancy

Job Description

:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer and Administrator with a strong background in managing cloud services, particularly Azure.

 

This is a remote/work-from-home position.

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on Azure.

Manage and monitor cloud services to ensure optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and implement appropriate cloud solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system uptime.

Implement and maintain cloud security measures, including access controls, identity management, and data encryption.

Possess knowledge of the PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) certification process and actively contribute to maintaining compliance.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in managing cloud services, with a strong focus on Azure.

Strong expertise in Azure services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, identity and access management (IAM), etc.

Proficiency in implementing and managing cloud monitoring systems, such as Kibana, Azure Monitor, and Application Insights.

Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including network security, data encryption, and identity management.

Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other relevant tools.

 

Relevant certifications in Azure or cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
