Job Description
Job Title: Purchase ManagerJob Summary:
We are looking for a Purchase Manager to join our Indirect Procurement Team to manage the procurement of goods and services for our warehousing operations / Infrastructure work. You will be responsible for managing a team for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing quality products from reliable suppliers at competitive rates. You will also ensure timely delivery, inventory management and compliance with ElasticRun policies and standards.Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential vendors/suppliers in the market
- Compare and evaluate offers from different vendors based on price, quality, delivery time and service
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions with vendors to achieve the best deal for the company, finalise Rate Contracts/Agreements in consultation with relevant internal stakeholders
- Review and inspect the quality and quantity of purchased products and services and resolve issues or discrepancies, if any, in sync with the requestor or relevant stakeholders. Get a proper RCA done and ensure non-recurrence of similar incidents
- Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information, invoices, and payment status
- Prepare and submit reports on purchasing activities, costs and performance
- Suggest and implement procedures to procure cost effective products and services without compromising on the quality and the timelines
- Proactive planning and delivery based on the future needs and demand/forecast
- Coordinate with the procurement executives, warehouse staff, logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Follow and adhere to the company's purchasing policies and procedures and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Ensure Invoice booking and Processing by adhering to the organisational policies and procedures for timely payments, sync with vendor ledger for no due
- Manage a team of Purchase Executives and Associate Manager(s)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 12 yrs of relevant work experience in Purchase as a Purchase Manager or equivalent role in the E service industry / warehousing sector - Immediate joiner or 30 days notice will be preferred.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, market research and vendor management.
- Should be able to understand the property layouts with infra details, engineering drawings and explain/discuss the same with the team and suppliers
- Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing ERP software
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Should have managed a team of Procurement Executives for at least 3 years
- Attention to detail, accuracy and quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
