Job Description

We are seeking an experienced D365 Finance and Operations Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) projects. The Delivery Manager will be responsible for ensuring that D365 F&O implementations meet business objectives, are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project management, team leadership, and technical understanding of D365 F&O, and will work closely with clients to align project goals with their business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership & Delivery:
    • Lead the end-to-end delivery of D365 Finance and Operations (F&O) projects, ensuring successful implementation and client satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
    • Ensure all project deliverables are met according to quality standards and business requirements.
    • Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of multiple project initiatives, ensuring resource optimization and adherence to project milestones.
    • Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, if applicable.
    • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, identifying solutions to avoid delays or roadblocks.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide status updates, ensure alignment with business objectives, and manage client expectations.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of D365 F&O consultants, developers, and business analysts.
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure the team is working efficiently and effectively toward project goals.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and ensure team development through training, knowledge-sharing, and coaching.
    • Ensure the team follows best practices for D365 F&O implementation and continuous improvement.
  3. Client & Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the lifecycle of the project.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring continuous alignment of project objectives with business goals.
    • Organize and conduct meetings with stakeholders to review project progress, risks, and issues, and ensure alignment of expectations.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations regarding timelines, scope changes, and deliverables.
  4. Solution Design & Configuration:
    • Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to understand the clients business processes and design appropriate solutions within D365 F&O.
    • Ensure D365 configurations meet business requirements and are aligned with best practices.
    • Oversee and manage system testing, UAT, and troubleshooting efforts to resolve any issues.
    • Ensure all customizations and integrations with D365 F&O are implemented correctly, and appropriate testing is performed before go-live.
  5. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Ensure quality control standards are implemented and adhered to during every phase of the project.
    • Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for streamlining project processes and recommending improvements in the project delivery model.
    • Review and analyze post-implementation results and identify areas for future improvement.
  6. Reporting & Documentation:
    • Prepare and present regular status reports on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive management.
    • Ensure that all project documentation is completed accurately, including design documentation, test plans, and training materials.
    • Oversee the creation of training materials and provide guidance to clients during the knowledge transfer phase of the project.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
      Good experience in managing large-scale D365 F&O implementations from planning to go-live.
    • Proven experience in project management within the D365 space (preferably Agile or Hybrid methodology).
    • Strong understanding of Finance and Supply Chain processes within Dynamics 365.
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines and scope are met.
  • Skills:
    • Project Management: Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
    • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team of consultants, developers, and analysts.
    • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to manage complex challenges and mitigate risks.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
    • D365 F&O Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations functionality, best practices, and system configuration.
    • Client Management: Experience managing client relationships and understanding their business needs.
