Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- WIX and WordPress management: Demonstrate expertise in both platforms to maintain and enhance existing WIX operations and WordPress projects.
- Designing WordPress sites: Develop responsive WordPress websites that align with user needs and meet project specifications.
- Developing custom plugins: Build, test, and maintain custom plugins to expand functionality and improve user experience.
- Customizing themes: Adapt WordPress themes to enhance visual appeal and website architecture, ensuring alignment with branding guidelines.
- Debugging issues: Troubleshoot technical problems, fix bugs, and resolve performance issues to maintain website functionality.
- Enhancing performance: Optimize WordPress websites for speed, scalability, and SEO using debugging tools and frameworks.
- Collaborating with teams: Work closely with graphic design teams, content creators, and project managers to deliver cohesive web solutions.
- Ensuring security: Implement security measures to protect WordPress websites from vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
- Managing integrations: Connect third-party APIs and use code versioning tools like Git to improve website features and performance.
- Developing user-friendly designs: Focus on responsive design and user interface enhancements to ensure positive user experiences.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 1-4 years of experience in WordPress development, including plugin development and debugging, is required. Experience with WIX is also essential.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, MySQL, and other programming languages.
- Frameworks and tools: Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git, debugging platforms, and content management systems.
- WIX expertise: Hands-on experience with WIX for managing, updating, and maintaining web content.
- Problem-solving skills: The ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Communication skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with team members and stakeholders.
- SEO knowledge: Understanding of search engine optimization practices to improve visibility and search engine rankings.
- Responsive design: Expertise in building responsive designs for optimal performance on all devices.
Project management: Experience in managing web development projects and delivering them on time and within scope.
