Job Description
Summary
Looking for a dedicated, high performing QA analyst to perform functional and quality testing through various phases of SDLC and Visualizations, in conjunction with a local and US-based project team.
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Quickly builds a working knowledge of company's core business, opportunities, and key stakeholders
- Understands project requirements. Validates user stories based on business requirements
- Translates requirements into test cases. Partner with development team to understand the design
- Performs QA testing to validate the deliverables meet the business requirements, user stories, and solution design
- Provides constructive and professional feedback for continuous improvement
- Tracks progress against timeline, milestones, and budget, revise as needed. Communicates project status by providing updates to peers and leadership as required.
- Facilitates project team meetings
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in testing backend application primarily involving complex SQL queries.
- Experience in analyzing ETL mapping documents
- Creating SQL scripts based ETL mapping documents to compare data outputs
- Ability to create and execute strategies and test cases for applications that use ETL components.
- Advanced level of expertise in Database testing with excellent PL /SQL skills.
- Data warehouse testing experience will be required.
Critical Skills:
- Database Testing with extensive experience on SQL Queries Writing. This is a MUST.
- Experience testing Waterfall / Agile Development Projects
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Experience testing IN HEALTHCARE DOMAIN
- Familiar with application development best practices
- Well-versed in the use of Microsoft Office Tools
- Big Data Testing experience is a plus
- Validate reports and dashboards TABLEAU. Monitor trends in relevant metrics to stay on top of key business metrics.
- MCA/B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree with 3+ years of relevant experience as data QA analyst/Data specialist. Degree in a quantitative data related field is a huge plus.
- Proficiency in SQL. Knowledge of other programming languages and experience with external API integrations is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Data QA methodology and standard processes.
- Strong debugging skills. Great attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with testing ETLs and knowledge of different Data technology stacks is a huge plus.
- Excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving abilities.
- Experience in writing scripts or programs to analyze/validate large data sets.
- Ability to convert complex business, technical requirements, use cases, and user stories to test cases and test plans.
- Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
