Dy. Manager - Plant Maintenance
Qualification: B. Tech(Electrical /Electronics)
Experience: 7+ Years
Candidate Current Industry: Bus/ Truck/LCV/Large Commercial Vehicle Manufacturing
Job Location: Olectra Greentech Plant , Hyderabad
Team Size: 5+
Responsibilities:
1. Paint Shop Maintenance:
- Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of robotic painting systems (e.g., ABB, Drr, FANUC).
- Maintain paint booths, ovens, conveyors, and surface preparation equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of paint circulation, air handling, and temperature/humidity control systems.
- Troubleshoot paint defects related to mechanical or robotic failures.
- Monitor and control paint shop KPIs like First Run Rate, Cycle Time, DFT variation, and consumption.
2. Weld Shop Maintenance (BIW):
- Oversee maintenance of robotic welding lines including spot welders, MIG/MAG robots, and end-effectors.
- Ensure uptime of fixtures, jigs, guns, and conveyors through TPM and predictive maintenance.
- Manage backup and programming of robotic cells (FANUC/KUKA/YASKAWA).
- Address weld quality concerns and work closely with QA to resolve dimensional or strength issues.
3. General Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of maintenance engineers and technicians across shifts.
- Implement root cause analysis (RCA) and countermeasures for frequent breakdowns.
- Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, OEE improvement, and energy-saving initiatives.
- Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for equipment upgrades and AMC activities.
- Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, spares inventory, and CAPEX planning.
- Ensure safety compliance, LOTO procedures, and maintenance documentation.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of robotic systems (ABB, KUKA, FANUC), PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley), and SCADA.
- Expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of automated systems.
- Knowledge of welding processes (spot, MIG/MAG) and paint processes (CATHODIC, top coat, clear coat).
- Analytical mindset for downtime analysis and reliability engineering.
- Team leadership and shift management capabilities.
