Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Daily news management
    • Performing a broad scan of news events daily, sourcing an appropriate number of relevant news stories from trusted websites across every geographic region.
    • Creating a headlines document with source URLs, ensuring accurate, well written material in the house style.
    • Sharing with the Retail Insights team on a timely basis and adapting for feedback.
    • Uploading all stories onto the live platform via the content management system, accurately describing and tagging the stories. 
  1. Ecosystem profiling
    • For leading retailers, conducting an extensive review of initiatives to update documents relating to each retail ecosystem. This includes identifying initiatives that have ended and new initiatives that have begun since the last review, accurately allocating to relevant ecosystem verticals.
    • Capturing updates within MS Excel, to include logos and source URLs for the initiatives.
    • Updating PowerPoint illustrations with logos and source links and uploading to the live platform via the content management system.  
  1. Case study uploading
    • Reviewing recent reports, identifying retailer and brand case studies and documenting, avoiding duplications.
    • Extracting report pages, creating page images, and uploading, adding appropriate tags and summary from the reported case study. 
  1. Newsletter curation
    • Supporting the creation of client-specific newsletters, curating recent news based on client requests.
    • For some newsletters, the development of semi-automated Macro processes can be applied to create an efficient process. In other instances, manual search and curation is required.
    • Curations must be delivered with accuracy and to a high standard within the prescribed templates. 
  1. Retailer and market report support (tbc)
    • Using the data analytics tool, downloading data to support the creation of specified Retail Insights reports. Some additional calculations may be required to support the narrative and visualisation of trends.
    • Populate PowerPoint charts and tables with the datapoints to create the visualisations, ensuring accuracy and a high standard of presentation.
    • Source relevant supplier case studies where required.

  • Collaborative & Adaptable Works effectively both independently and within teams, adjusting quickly to new challenges.
  • Analytical & Data-Savvy Comfortable interpreting data, spotting trends, and drawing meaningful conclusions.
  • Tech-Ready Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and the ability to quickly learn new software, including content management systems.
  • Experience 1-2 years of relevant professional experience in research, insights, ecommerce, or a related field.
