Job Description:
We are looking for a Design Engineer (Civil) with strong structural design and project execution experience, particularly in industrial infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess technical proficiency in CAD tools, structural analysis, and building standards, and demonstrate innovative thinking to create safe, efficient, and sustainable structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables as per client and internal specifications.
- Conduct detailed structural analysis and simulations to evaluate load-bearing capacity, stress points, and design optimization.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, blueprints, and construction specifications using AutoCAD, ARES, or other design tools.
- Ensure adherence to building codes, zoning laws, and industry safety standards throughout the design process.
- Collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and construction teams to support successful design implementation.
- Resolve design-related challenges during the execution phase by providing timely and practical solutions.
- Incorporate sustainability principles and promote energy-efficient, eco-friendly structural designs.
- Maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement by implementing best practices in design.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Civil Engineering (required); Masters in Structural Engineering (preferred).
- 35 years of experience in industrial structural design, preferably under government tenders.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ARES, and familiarity with Revit for BIM Modeling (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of construction materials, structural design standards, and safety codes.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail to ensure design accuracy and safety.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Solid project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
- Creative mindset with the ability to design cost-effective, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions.
