Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive our collaboration platform to its next stage of evolution. This individual will spearhead critical initiatives requiring close partnership with the community, product, and business stakeholders to enhance the end-user experience and establish our platform as the premier tool for API collaboration. Furthermore, they will oversee the entire technical landscape to deliver a seamless and integrated product experience for our users, owning and driving the engineering/technical strategy for their team to not only meet current product needs but also ensure scalability for the next 2-5 years through a forward-thinking approach. You will be responsible for: Ensuring the engineering team understands and embraces the broader product vision and its strategic context. Developing and mentoring engineers, facilitating career growth discussions and aligning development with long-term business needs. Defining and executing the technical strategy for the team, delivering critical initiatives on time, and actively contributing to the product roadmap to maximize impact through a clear team vision and strategy. Leading the end-to-end hiring process for exceptional engineering talent. Defining, measuring, and owning key performance indicators for your team's functional areas and individual contributions. Identifying and addressing significant product, user experience, technical, and business challenges by developing multi-quarter roadmaps, managing constraints, and prioritizing effectively with stakeholders. Collaborating with Product, Design, and Engineering peers to establish best practices and evolve the team's strategic direction. Applying your expertise in software architecture and design by participating in design and code reviews to ensure quality decisions throughout the development lifecycle (front-end and back-end), and by raising engineering standards. Ensuring the product's end-user experience, performance, security, and high availability (striving for 99.99% uptime). Maintaining operational and customer excellence through effective on-call support, incident management, performance optimization, bug resolution, and UX improvements. Setting measurable OKRs for the team and promoting a culture of real-time feedback. Recognizing and celebrating the achievements of individual engineers and the team as a whole.
