Job Description

Job Mission :
- This position is responsible for working with our clients to understand, analyze business requirements and implement, develop business rules and to customize/ develop solutions in the legal domain.

- This will require one to leverage her deep domain knowledge of legal processes as well as technical skills to map customer requirements.

- Thorough knowledge of the Mitratech TeamConnect platform will be critical for the role.
Key areas of responsibilities :
- Analyse information processing or computation needs and plan and design software systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering.
- Assess the usefulness of pre-developed application packages and adapt them to a user environment.
- Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve the underlying legal process workflow of the client.
- Testing software to ensure the code is correct, fixing ('debugging') errors where they occur, and rerunning and rechecking the program until it produces the correct results
- Works collaboratively and professionally with other our associates in cross-functional teams to achieve goals
Skill Requirements :
- Deep (up to 3-4 years) understanding & knowledge of the Legal domain
- Thorough understanding of the Mitratech TeamConnect products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining proper priorities and scheduling on extremely tight deadlines.
- Java programmer with at least 2-3 years of experience
- Knowledge of J2EE, JSP, Log4J, Swing, Apache CXF
- 2+ years working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred) or Oracle.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and computer science foundations
- Knowledge of software implementation best practices.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, independent, detail-oriented, responsible team player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills.
- Java competencies in :
a) JAVA API - Preferably J2EE certified with multiple years of full life cycle implementations.
b) Web Services - Implemented multiple integrations with different approaches

- Real-time integrations using Message Queues
- Batch integrations using the flat-file approach with detailed exception handling
- XML - Proficient at different aspects of XML including XSD
- SQL - Worked extensively with SQL queries querying transactional databases and Data Warehouse.
- Data Migration - Used ETL tools such as Informatica for data mapping and transformation or developed ETL scripts using SQL or JAVA API to extract, transform and load large data sets
Professional Education :
- Minimum degree in computer science or equivalents like Management Information Systems or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years in designing & developing applications & software the legal industry.
