Job Description
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all statutory returns, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other relevant compliances.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with other departments to develop realistic and achievable financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insightful reports and recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and other regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required.
- 05 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 03 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and other relevant accounting principles.
- Proven experience in managing statutory audits and tax assessments.
- Excellent understanding of GST and income tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
