Job Description
- As Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you would be the Senior member of team tasked towards ensuring quality release of product features of Sophos Central Data platform
- The role would require you to work with other the scrum team, Product Management and Quality Engineering organization to ensure high quality - Automation driven Software releases
What you will do
- Test Requirement analysis, Test Planning and automation for all the features under development within the team.
- Maintaining and updating the Tests and Test Automation Framework.
- Keeping track of quality process as defined for product releases.
- Participate in all phases of the SDLC from design to delivery on team projects.
- Participation in Design and architecture discussions
- Capability to troubleshoot and debug the external and internal issues.
- Ability to learn and understand complex systems and technical issues.
- Work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Conduct technical presentations on Test Automation/Quality Engineering specific topics.
- Review automation tests of the peers in the team
- Conduct effective code reviews and participate in bug triage process
What you will bring
- 6 - 10 years of technical experience in Quality Engineering.
- Bachelors or Higher Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong hands-on experience using Java for Test Automation.
- Hands-on experience in Automation Framework Development / Maintenance.
- Understanding / Testing of Microservices
- Experience in Test Planning including Contract/ Integration/ Functional and Regression test cases from the requirements/stories.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Knowledge / Experience with AWS Kafka and other AWS based technologies.
- Exposure to API testing using REST/SOAP
- Experience working on Jenkins.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD deployments.
- Experience with Agile/ Scrum SDLC setup.
- Understanding of build process and automation
