Job Description
- We are seeking a proactive and experienced Deputy Manager for Part Readiness to join our Spare Parts department in Manesar. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the availability, readiness, and efficient distribution of spare parts across our network. This role requires strong management skills, a deep understanding of the automobile industry, and excellent organizational abilities. Key Responsibilities Part Readiness Management: Oversee and ensure the timely availability of spare parts to meet customer demands and operational needs. Manage inventory levels and optimize stock to balance supply and demand, minimizing shortages and overstock situations. Supply Chain Coordination Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth procurement and delivery of spare parts. Monitor and manage lead times, order fulfillment, and logistics to maintain efficient supply chain operations. Inventory Control Implement and maintain effective inventory control practices to track parts, reduce waste, and optimize storage. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies. Demand Forecasting Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to forecast future demand for spare parts. Develop and adjust inventory strategies based on demand forecasts and changing market conditions. Process Improvement Identify and implement process improvements to enhance part readiness, efficiency, and overall departmental performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and resolve any issues impacting part availability. Team Management Lead, train, and manage a team of staff within the Spare Parts department, ensuring high performance and professional development. Set clear objectives and provide regular feedback to team members. Customer Service Address and resolve any issues related to spare parts availability and delivery, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Work closely with the customer service team to handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding spare parts. Reporting And Analysis Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, part readiness, and key performance metrics to senior management. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in spare parts management or a related role within the automobile industry. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of spare parts inventory management, supply chain processes, and demand forecasting. Leadership: Proven experience in team management and the ability to lead and motivate staff. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, team members, and senior management. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus. (ref:iimjobs.com),
