Job Description
Data Intensity is recruiting for an Azure Cloud Architect to deliver customer initiatives on the Microsoft Azure Platform.

Position Responsibilities
As a cloud architect you will collaborate with solutions architects to deliver complex Azure infrastructure in accordance with detailed architectural designs. You will work with application and database principal consultants to migrate customer enterprise application workloads to Azure.
Job duties:
- Implimenting and delivering a wide variety of Microsoft Azure projects according to Data Intensity solution architectural designs. [Azure is Primary & AWS, OCI is secondary]
- Lead Cloud Adoption and Migration engagements & provide Cost estimates.
- Drive a fit for purpose Cloud Architecture and Design aligned with client wider architectural principles, policies and design.
- Work with engagement leads to manage design milestones, and ensure effective design governance around key design decisions
- Work with compliance/security to ensure that cloud adoption is managed / governed in line with client standards and policies
- Demonstrate knowledge of cloud architecture and implementation features (OS, multi-tenancy, virtualization, orchestration, elastic scalability)
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert to the organization for cloud (Azure) end-to-end architecture, including and future providers, networking, provisioning, and management
- Develop a library of deployable and documented cloud design patterns, based on the Cloud application portfolio, as a basis for deploying services to the cloud
- Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the why, and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation
- Maintain overall industry knowledge on latest trends, technology, etc.
- Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services
- Contribute to DevOps development activities and complex development tasks
- Define optimal design patterns and solutions for high availability and disaster recovery for applications
- Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment
- Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements
- Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners
- Ensure delivered solutions are realized in time frame committed; work in conjunction with project sponsors to size and manage scope and risk
- Provide support and technical governance, expertise related to cloud architectures, deployment, and operations

- Provide thought leadership in industry and to fellow team members across business and technical project

- Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external
- Facilitating application modernization through cloud native service adoption.
- Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training ITA Architecture professionals
- Maintain an educational programmed to continually develop personal skills
- Understand, follow and lead staff in workplace policies and procedures
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
- Detailed knowledge of a range of services from the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform particularly in relation to infrastructure, Networking and security.
- Provide Architectural leadership in designing an integration strategy between a cloud-based platform (Azure & OCI )
- Led architecture design and engineering for cloud services environment.
- Spearheaded next generation architecture concepts using service-oriented architecture, event-driven architecture, grid computing, knowledge management, and autonomic computing.
- Worked with business leaders to define business goals and developed strategic technical architecture plans to support future business needs.
- Conducted technology market trend analysis for clients to provide valuable input to ongoing strategic, business and technology decision roadmap processes.
- Provided technology blueprints, roadmaps, and optimization and migration strategies for current and future applications and technical components.
- Developed the Enterprise Technology & Cloud Infra Architecture roadmap.
- Experience in Route 53 (DNS), CloudFront (CDN) and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to design cloud networking using public and private subnets, internet access and VPC peering.
- Design a hybrid architecture using key Azure and OCI technologies
- Strong experience in Cloud Networking, Edge Computing and Security"
- Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
- Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such as Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, Azure AD Proxy, SAML and Active Directory Domain Services.
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code methods, examples being Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates, Terraform or JSON scripting.
- Experience using scripting languages such as Terraform/Powershell and/or Bash.
- Good to have Azure DevOps experience.
- Experience in the delivery of enterprise level highly available solutions and infrastructure with recent focus on Microsoft Cloud platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for communicating with customers, technically and procedurally.
- Excellent documentation experience and skills.
- Detailed knowledge of cloud architectural guiding principles.
- ERP or SAP product migration project experience beneficial
- Customer first mindset.
Education and Other Qualitifications
- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or closely related subject or equivalent experience.
- AZ-305 Microsoft Azure certification.
- Good to have OCI & AWS Certifications. (Architect level)
