The Deputy Manager in Third-Party Food Testing Sales is responsible for driving sales growth by developing relationships with potential and existing clients in the food industry, offering tailored third-party food testing services to ensure food safety, compliance, and quality. This role requires strategic sales management, client engagement, and deep knowledge of food testing requirements and standards.
Work Locations : Noida , Bangalore , Chennai , Navi Mumbai Roles and Responsibilities :
Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a sales strategy to expand the client base for food testing services. Set, monitor, and achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and new business opportunities in the food sector.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and clients in the food industry. Provide clients with detailed service offerings, including regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality assurance testing.
Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, including key markets and potential partnerships. Attend industry events, conferences, and workshops to increase company visibility and network within the industry.
Technical Knowledge & Support: Stay updated on food testing standards, such as FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other relevant regulations. Act as a subject matter expert on testing services and address technical queries from clients in collaboration with the technical team.
Team Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with the technical and lab teams to ensure smooth execution of testing services and timely delivery of reports. Generate and present regular sales reports to management, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Customer Service and Follow-up: Manage client feedback and address any issues to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Facilitate regular follow-ups with clients post-testing to ensure continued engagement and service quality.
Preferred candidate profile :
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Business Administration, or related fields. Experience : 6 years of experience with Third party Food Testing Lab.
