Job Description
Roles
- Maintenance & Optimization of Press Machines Ensure efficient performance, reliability, and minimal downtime for mechanical presses used in high-volume sheet metal processing.
- Predictive & Preventive Maintenance Implementation Utilize s Smart Press Shop (Industry 4.0) features for predictive maintenance and automated diagnostics.
- Minimizing Downtime in Automated Production Lines Work proactively to ensure continuous operation of press lines in automotive and heavy-gauge sheet metal industries.
- Safety & Compliance with Global Standards Ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO 45001, and CE Machine Safety Directives for high-tonnage press machines.
- Spare Parts & Inventory Management Ensure availability of -specific spare parts, including hydraulic overload protection systems, clutch/brake units, and die cushions.
- Collaboration with Support & Production Teams Coordinate with service engineers, production managers, and automation specialists to optimize machine efficiency.
Responsibilities:
1 Preventive & Predictive Maintenance for Presses
Develop and execute a preventive maintenance plan based on s digital monitoring system (Smart Maintenance).
Inspect and maintain main drives, eccentric shafts, slide guides, bearings, clutches, and hydraulic overload systems.
Utilize Visual Die Protection (VDP) and condition monitoring tools to detect potential failures before they occur.
Perform die alignment checks using s automated die-changing and handling systems.
2 Breakdown & Corrective Maintenance
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues in press lines.
Work with s Press Force Monitoring System to prevent overload-related failures.
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for frequent breakdowns and implement long-term corrective actions.
Ensure quick response to breakdowns using Connect (Remote Service & Digital Press Shop) for real-time diagnostics.
3 Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Maintain stock of press spare parts, including hydraulic overload systems, slide lubrication units, bushings, brake linings, and PLC components.
Track spare parts usage and optimize inventory based on predictive analytics and s Condition Monitoring System.
Coordinate with s OEM service and suppliers for timely procurement of genuine spare parts.
4 Equipment Installation, Upgrades & Overhauling
Supervise installation, setup, and commissioning of new mechanical presses, including high-tonnage servo-driven presses.
Plan and execute major press machine overhauls, including complete slide guide replacements, clutch reconditioning, and lubrication system upgrades.
Implement s "Smart Press Retrofit" solutions to enhance press performance with automation and digital monitoring.
5 Safety & Compliance for High-Tonnage Press Operations
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, ISO 45001, and CE safety directives for press operations.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement preventive measures such as:
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Overload protection system checks
- Emergency stop system verification
Work with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) teams to ensure proper handling of lubrication, cooling, and hydraulic pressure systems.
6 Documentation & Data Analysis (Industry 4.0 Integration)
Maintain detailed records of press maintenance, downtime logs, and service reports.
Use s Smart Cloud to access maintenance insights and optimize service intervals.
Generate reports on press efficiency, cycle time analysis, and maintenance costs using 's Digital Twin technology.
7 Training & Skill Development for Press Maintenance
Train maintenance technicians on press diagnostics, die-changing procedures, and servo system troubleshooting.
Stay updated with new advancements in Smart Press Technology, AI-driven predictive maintenance, and automation integration.
Promote a data-driven maintenance approach using s Smart Assist & AI-based monitoring tools.
Preferred candidate profile
Hands on experience on higher tonnage Press Machines is must.
Good Knowledge of Welding Robot Maintenance
Handled Breakdown of the Press Machines Up to 2000 tones
