Job Description
- Designing and extend existing Architecture of Analytics Data Warehouse, design logical and physical data models, designing data load strategies, data archival and purge strategy and designing data staging, transformation and final layers
- Understanding Business requirements and translating the same to Functional Requirement Specifications
- Involve in data optimization initiatives, suggest improvements in overall data layer strategies and underlying database parameters
- The position is responsible for design of OBIA ADW environment
- High proficiency in SCM Analytics, MFG and Finance is required to provide solutions to business needs
- The requirements of the position include Datawarehouse design, data load strategies, performance tuning and expertise in dimensional modelling and design
- The position is responsible for functional validation of Analytics data in ADW, providing Business Sign off ensuring quality
- Meeting with Business to understand functional requirements and recommend solutions
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible to provide design level recommendations to ADW while working on Oracle BI Tool stack especially OBIA.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Expertise in designing and extending Architecture of Analytics Data Warehouse
- Expertise in Key functional areas including SCM Analytics, MFG Analytics and Finance Analytics.
- Expertise in Oracle Analytics Technology stack with expertise in ODI, OAS, OAC and BIAPPS.
- Expertise in Oracle BI Analytics methodology with strong hold on SDE, SIL, PLP, Knowledge Modules, Load Tracking tables, Metadata etc.
- Expertise in support and troubleshooting of ODI Load plans in BIAPPS environment.
- In depth understanding of RDSL, PDSL, Order Lines, Quotes, BoM , General Ledger, NetBookings, Supplier OTD, Lead Time, Backlog, TRAX Shipment, HFM, Dept Expense and legal entity reporting metrics.
- In depth understanding of enterprise level data warehouse.
- Expertise in ODI and OAS development (in BIAPPS Environment) & performance tuning of SQL programs in ODI.
- Experience of working in OOTB Oracle Analytics systems and customizations.
- Experience of working with end users, taking accountability and working on complex systems including ETL and reporting in Oracle.
- Data warehouse design, development and maintenance using Star Schema (Dimensional Modelling) for logical and physical layer
- Expertise in Data warehousing concepts like SCDs, Dimensional Modelling, Archive strategy, Data Purge strategy, Aggregation, Hierarchy etc and Database concepts like Partitioning, Materialized views etc
- Expertise in designing data load strategies involving data ingestion from disparate sources (Databases, Flat Files, NoSQLs, XMLs, Sharepoint etc)
- Expertise in performance tuning and able to suggest design level optimization changes.
- Must have strong Oracle database experience including complex SQL, query debug and optimization
- Strong understanding of Change Management Processes and basic understanding of SBM and ServiceNow
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant experience working in OBIA Data warehouse designing, data load strategies, Data purge strategies etc using different ETL Tools.
- Ability to work in a demanding user environment.
- Ability to take lead and work with minimum information.
- Strong Written and Oral communication skills.
- Working with Project Managers for assistance in various project implementations.
- Designing and improving BI processes for Development and Change Management
