Responsibilities:
Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to ED patient records.
Review and analyze medical documentation to identify diagnoses, procedures, and services.
Ensure compliance with ED-specific coding guidelines and regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrators at Core2code healthcare to clarify documentation.
Stay updated on coding regulations, changes in codes, and industry standards.
Ensure proper documentation and coding for appropriate reimbursement and minimize claim denials.
Resolve coding-related issues by working closely with the billing and compliance teams.
Maintain coding accuracy by conducting periodic reviews and audits of coded records.
Assist in training and mentoring junior coders at Core2code healthcare to enhance team performance.
Communicate coding updates and improvements to relevant departments to ensure smooth operations.
