Job Description
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
What you'll do
- Primarily responsible for delivering high quality technical designs and code for the product requirements in a fast-paced agile scrum environment.
- Lead and participate in small to medium-scale projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with project team and cross functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; ensuring on-time delivery.
- Strive for continuous improvement in efficiency.
- Interact with Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
- Engage with EM, TL and Product/Program team to drive the agenda, set your priorities and deliver awesome products.
- Own the quality and communicate key issues and progress updates in a regular, accurate, timely fashion.
- End to end ownership and commitment to deliver up to production and ensure high quality, un-compromised stability post go live with customer focus.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor s degree in computer science or related technical field with an experience of 3-6 years..
- You have and can implement big ideas with a positive attitude. You want to be a part of the team to disrupt this industry and you have these main skills:
- Possess strong computer science knowledge in algorithms, data structures, database concepts.
- Hands on in developing web applications using RESTFUL Web Services, Kafka Messaging, Java, Spring Boot, Micro-services, DB, SQL, NoSQL and SOA.
- 2 to 5 years of experience with Java , Spring framework, in building multi-threaded high performance scalable applications.
- Experience with any Cloud Computing platforms: Microsoft Azure, Google cloud or similar.
- Knowledge in Reactive programming Java will be given a plus.
- Solid design and coding skills in Java and/or Spring framework.
- Experience building high-performance, highly available and scalable systems.
Extensive hands-on experience building services using these technologies (Java, J2EE, Spring, REST). - Strong knowledge in data structures, SQL, No SQL technologies etc
- Should be innovative, talented and committed individual with excellent communication, sprit of teamwork and Analytical abilities to drive excellence!
Mandatory Skills:
- JAVA 11 and above
- Spring Boot Framework
- NoSQL DB
- SQL (Azure)
- Kafka Framework
- Microservices
Good to have skills
- Experience in financial domain (IRR, NPV, ROI)
- Good skills in Mathematical areas like Simple Interest calc, ROI calc
- Excel knowledge
- Knowledge on Azure Blob Storage
