Job Description

Title: Equity Research

Location: Mumbai/Gurugram

Important responsibilities in this role will include-

• Support equity research analysts at a global investment bank in carrying out research on a portfolio of companies
• Track the news, events, and results of the companies under coverage
• Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry
• Build and maintain databases tracking key macroeconomic indicators / industry KPIs
• Work on financial models, update historical numbers, build projections, and conduct valuations
• Listen to and summarize investment conference calls
• Assist lead analysts in preparing company profiles, newsletters, flash notes, earning notes, initiating coverage reports, etc.
• Develop roadshow presentations
• Handle ad-hoc research requests as per client requirements

Skills we are looking for-

• CA or MBA with more than 2 years of experience in sell-side / buy-side equity research
• Well-versed in building financial models with forecasting and analytical skills (accounting, financial statement analysis, valuation, and forecasting)
• Good communication skills (should be able to put across thoughts clearly and confidently)
• Can effectively work in a team and manage the entire workflow
• Good understanding of valuation methodologies
• Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company descriptions)
• Ability to build client relations and work independently
• Knowledge of database tools, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data systems
• Knowledge of VBA and Excel Macros will be advantageous
