Qualifications:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our growing team in the solar energy sector. This role will involve working on the design and development of solar power systems with a focus on both Civil and Electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in renewable energy, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Planning:
Develop detailed design plans for solar power systems, including site preparation (civil) and electrical distribution (electrical).
Collaborate with civil and electrical teams to ensure designs meet local regulations and engineering standards.
Create CAD drawings and technical documents for both civil and electrical components of solar projects.
Perform structural analysis for the mounting systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Site Assessments:
Conduct site surveys to assess the feasibility of solar power system installations.
Evaluate site conditions, such as topography, accessibility, and soil conditions, and incorporate this data into the design process.
Work closely with clients and field teams to optimize designs for specific project requirements.
Solar System Configuration:
Support the electrical team in selecting appropriate components (e.g., panels, inverters, batteries) and configuring the system layout.
Assist in the design of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and interconnection systems for solar projects.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards (IEC, NEC, local codes).
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in both civil and electrical design for solar energy projects.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work alongside cross-functional teams (civil engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, etc.) to ensure successful project delivery.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals and technical presentations for clients.
Support During Construction & Commissioning:
Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning phases of solar power systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any design-related issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering , Electrical Engineering , or a related field. A focus on renewable energy or solar engineering is a plus.
Experience:
0-5 years of experience in civil or electrical design engineering (preferably in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar power systems).
Knowledge of solar design software tools (e.g., PVSyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is a plus.
Skills:
Strong understanding of solar energy systems , solar panel technologies , and mounting structures .
Familiarity with electrical design principles, wiring, and interconnection systems.
Knowledge of civil engineering principles related to solar installations, including ground-mounted systems and structural analysis.
Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
A proactive, adaptable, and eager-to-learn attitude.
