As an Engineer - Production (Supply Chain Network), you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production processes within the supply chain network of the organization
Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient and cost-effective production operations while maintaining high-quality standards
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, procurement, and quality control, to achieve production goals and improve overall supply chain performance
Responsibilities:
Production Planning: Develop production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels
Coordinate with different departments to ensure the availability of resources, materials, and equipment
Process Optimization: Continuously review and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement
Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency
Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to establish and maintain quality standards for production processes
Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to address any deviations or non-conformities
Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of materials and components within the supply chain network
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and excess inventory
Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost
Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production processes to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs
Implement best practices and explore new technologies or methodologies to optimize production operations
Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, procurement, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of goals
Collaborate on projects and initiatives that require cross-functional support
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production environment
Identify and address potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent
A Master's degree may be preferred
Experience: Previous experience in production planning, supply chain management, or related roles is required
Experience with process optimization methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is highly desirable
Technical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
Familiarity with production planning software and ERP systems
Knowledge: Sound understanding of production processes, supply chain management concepts, and quality control principles
Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to production operations
