What's the Job: L2 Support Engineer --- Python is mandatory

Where do I work: Gyan Matrix Technologies Pvt Ltd

Experience: 2 - 5 Years

Shift Timings: 8 PM to 6 AM IST


Job Responsibilities:


  • Act as the first point of contact for customer-reported issues.
  • Monitor application performance and identify potential bugs or system issues.
  • Accurately document and escalate issues to the L2 support team for resolution.
  • Follow up with the L2 team to ensure timely resolution while maintaining SLAs.
  • Continuously monitor system logs, alerts, and dashboards for proactive issue detection.
  • Report outages, performance bottlenecks, and unexpected system behaviors.
  • Communicate effectively with users and internal teams to gather necessary troubleshooting details.
  • Maintain accurate records of all reported incidents using ticketing tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
  • Develop and update issue tracking reports, knowledge base articles, and SOPs.
  • Assist in training new team members on issue detection and logging best practices.

Required Skills:


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in L1 technical support or application monitoring.
  • Proficiency in Python for basic scripting and automation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic knowledge of API integrations, databases, and debugging tools.
  • Experience with ticketing and incident management tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for documenting issues.
  • Prior experience in a shift-based or 24x7 support environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


Knowledge of Python for log analysis, debugging, and automation tasks.

Exposure to cloud-based SaaS environments.

Basic understanding of system logs, SQL queries, and application performance monitoring.

Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices in incident management.
