Job Description
The Test Engineering team analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains test tools to validate product and system performance. Test Engineering performs tests and analyzes results through diagnostic programs. Works with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to resolve issues detected through testing. Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives have been met. The Supervisor will determine and develop approaches to solutions.
- Prioritizes quality and seeks out improvements in all aspects of the projects.
- Identify potential risks in the testing process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with product development, PDM, UI/UX and other engineering teams to ensure clarity on requirements and testing needs .
- Communicate testing results and insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Collaboration between the testing teams like SIT, Automation Framework teams.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet testing needs.
- Track and report on project progress and testing outcomes to stakeholders.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Ensure alignment of test activities with project objectives and timelines.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes.
- Plan test automation scope, approach and strategy for new features validation
- Ensure reusability and maintainability of test scripts
- Monitor test coverage of new features and ensure critical functionalities are automated
- Encourage team members to maintain documentation and demos and call out for FSD, Design documentation if not available
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in a related Engineering discipline
- 5-8 years of experience
- Collaboration, Interpersonal, time/priority management, critical thinking, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to delegate, ability to multitask, and an awareness of cultural Intelligence.
