Requirements and responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Design, build and support BI dashboards, data visualizations and reporting.
- Build and maintain data models, data sources views required for BI solutions.
- Ensure the accuracy of data presented to users through execution of validation processes.
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements for BI solutions.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and
- Design teams to define business and systems requirements for data and analytics.
- Ensure best practices are established for data and analytics architecture.
- Collaborate with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data and analytics capabilities
What you'll bring:
- Expert level SQL experience to analyze data, build and optimize SQL views.
- Experience building dashboards, data visualization and reporting.
- Experience building analytics frameworks, designing and automating processes to refresh data for dashboards.
- Experience building data quality, data reconciliations and integrity checks to investigate and isolate data issues between data sources and BI layer.
- Experience setting up infrastructure to support BI deployments
- Experience performing root cause analysis on datasets and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong business analysis, project management and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Must be proactive, inquisitive and have research mindset.
- 5+ years of experience in a BI Engineering role, with a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Snowflake would be a plus.
- Expert level Full stack Power BI and Tableau experience.
- Preferred Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
- Preferred experience with AWS cloud services.
- Preferred experience with object-oriented and function scripting languages: Python Java, Scala or similar.
